I apologise at the length of time it has been for a new blog post to appear. My intention was to update this blog at least once a week, but it seems that I have failed miserably at that (Please direct all blame towards Uni). Please stay tuned as I will have a new post for you to feast on in the coming week!

My Favourite Dress of Summer
Ooh, just realised all my posts so far have been about beauty. Definitely time for a fashion post to break up the mix!
Just wanted to quickly post about how much I am in LOVE with this dress:
I am usually a size 6, but had to get it in an 8 as it was the only size left. Still fits me beautifully, and I love it! It is so easy to style up or down, really looks good with anything.
If you're a size 8, you are in luck! This dress is on sale at runwaygirl.com.au, and only 8's are left. Originally $122, it is now $61.00 (that's half price, bargain!) LINK
I really, really love this dress, and I'm sure you will too!

Neutrogena Cream Cleanser Review
**This product was sent to me specifically for the purposes of review**
This blog is about style on a budget. Staying true to this, I am going to give a review on the Neutrogena Deep Clean Cream Cleanser, which can be bought at your local supermarket for less than $15.00 (200g).
Prior to receiving this product, I was already a fan of the Neutrogena Deep Clean Range. I use the liquid facial cleanser maybe 2-3 times a week, as I alternate between washers. This is one of the first facial cleansers I have used which has a cream consistency, as I usually stick to liquid or gel. The cream is easy to apply and massage into the skin, and also washes off with ease.
I used this product after a BIG night out, and I was pleased to see that it took off my make-up and grime very satisfactorily. I should note that the smell of the cleanser may not be to everyone's liking - it has a soap-based scent to it, compared to other products which have an aqua base (i.e. Nivea Visage Young). This aside, the product does exactly what it claims to do, and for the price I'm not complaining.
I have combination/oily skin, and did find that this product was a tiny bit drying on me. I would therefore recommend that for those with oily skin it could be used daily, but for those who already have dry skin, this is probably best used less frequently.
I have read a recent review on this which claimed that they did not even need to moisturise their face after using it! ...err...sorry, but the computer says no. Moisturising is a must ladies, and a necessary part of any beauty routine, but I don't need to tell you that now, do I?

Cheap as Chips Nail Polish
Okay. $2.00 nail polishes. Need I say more.
What? Ulta3 Nail Polishes, at a cost of $2.00 - $3.50 a pop.
Where? Terry White Chemists. However, can also be bought online at this site: LINK
Unfortunately, the Pulse Pharmacy site does not list photos of the colours, so it is a bit of a guessing game. I have bought off these guys before and had no problems.
To assist in colour selection, here are some photos of the Ulta3 polishes I own:
In all honesty, with these polishes you do get what you pay for. They aren't exactly real competition for the likes of OPI...however if you're looking to simply expand your nail polish colour collection without breaking the bank, and have unlimited patience, then these are for you.
Consistency-wise the nail polishes are a bit hit or miss. I have had some great textured ones that only require two coats, and then others which for some reason are ridiculously runny.
However... let me state again - $2.00 nailpolishes. You can't really go wrong.

Bargain YSL Touche Eclat for $29.99...it's true!
In a fitting tribute to what my blog is all about, I present my first The Style Pot Post - Bargain YSL! If you haven't come across this already, you will be kicking yourself.
Genuine YSL Touche Eclat (Radiant Touch) for $29.99 - that's a saving of $50 off RRP! Yes, I swear to you it is true. From the one and only Chemist Warehouse. If you can't get to a store in person, then they are also available online: LINK.
Don't forget to also sign up as a member first to receive $5.00 off (basically covers the cost of postage!)
Not going to go into a review about the Touche Eclat - there are enough of them around already. I bought it hoping it may double as a concealer, but it did not work for me. This is a highlighter, and it doesn't pretend to be anything else. So, not a great concealer, but a killer highlighter. Apply either over make-up, or on your bare face for a natural look.
HINT: Stay away from this product if you are going to be photographed - as it is a light-reflecting product, it is not at all flattering in photos (unless you want to look like a moon-face, in which case go for it!)
Happy Highlighting!

What is 'The Style Pot'?
I'm not going to lie. The Style Pot is going to be yet another blog on all things fashion and beauty. But the point of difference of this blog is that it will feature real, attainable products. As beautiful as they may be to look at, I won't be featuring those latest diamond-encrusted bikinis that only 0.02% of the population could actually afford.
The aim of this blog is to feature and review real products, and to keep you up to date with the latest deals and offers. For reference sake, I am a 20-something Uni student, so I have had a few years experience at living on a measly budget. This blog is for those like me out there who want to look and feel their best and keep up to date with the latest trends, without having to sacrifice a week's worth of food :)
